How Invisalign Works
Invisalign clear aligners fit your life — they don’t interrupt it. And at every stage, you’ll be able to see your progress and enjoy your smile as it transforms.
Invisalign® straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable aligners. Using 3-D computer technology, these aligners are created to move your teeth gradually into place. They're virtually undetectable, which means hardly anyone will know you’re straightening your teeth. The best thing about Invisalign? You can take them out to eat, brush, and floss - so they have a minimal impact on your life!

What is the Invisalign treatment process like?
Gone are the days of messy dental molds! Invisalign begins with a painless, radiation-free 3D imaging of the mouth done with a modern machine in the comfort of the orthodontist's chair. These images are then loaded into a computer program, which allows the doctor to simulate the treatment plan. Before you start the process, you can see the smile that you will be working to achieve over the course of your treatment!
After the doctor and patient review the images, they are sent off to the dental lab where a series of aligner trays are created. The Invisalign aligners are made from a special kind of plastic that is safe and durable. Once the aligners arrive at your Light Dental Studios office, he will fit them on the patient's teeth and teach you how to care for them. One of the advantages of Invisalign aligners is that, unlike traditional braces, they are not adhered to the teeth and can therefore be easily removed to eat or drink for up to two hours per day. Every few weeks, the patient will return to the office to be fitted for the next set of aligners until the treatment is completed.
